Celebrity fashion collaborations are always exciting: whether Kate Moss for Topshop, Phillip Lim for UNIQLO, or Alexander McQueen for Target, it always comes as a good surprise (and an immutable plan for weekend shopping).

This season, actress-musician Zooey Deschanel collaborates with eyewear designer Oliver Peoples, making her a “designer,” too.

The Bob Dylan-meets-Pink Lady “Zooey” shades give a ‘50s tweak to the classic Ray-Ban design that everyone already has. They come in a full palette of frame colors, from transparent and hot pink to a more sober black (or at least more James Dean), and bear a metal plaque on each side, giving the vintage model a modern edge. And who better than blue-eyed Zooey to inspire, model, and sign — yes sign, the logo is in the shape of her kissing lips — the spectacles?
