Zooey Deschanel has launched a new website called “Hello Giggles” along with her friends Sophia Rossi, a TV producer, and blogger Molly McAleer. The site’s contributors dish on fashion, entertainment, and the usual musings about life. Today Zooey made her first post there:

Are you an unmedicated adult with Attention Deficit Disorder who also LOVES to do crafts? I AM! I barely have the patience to write this opening paragraph (I have already gotten up four times), so I need to focus my unfocused mind on projects that can be completed very quickly. Am I going to knit a scarf? NO! Will I knit a scarf for a bunny? I don’t know. Maybe, if it’s a really small field bunny and I am knitting with giant knitting needles. I recognize I will never complete something that takes any kind of patience (sorry needlepoint) so I decided to focus this blog on crafts I CAN complete.

Question: What would you be doing if you were not a singer and actress?
Zooey Deschanel: I have a lot of things I think I could do, like producing music or films. Whatever it is, I would have to always be doing something creative.

Q: You are an actress, singer and now a brand ambassador for Rimmel; which of these roles do you prefer and why?
ZD: Well I love them all of course, but writing music is my passion.

Q: Who have been your greatest influences?
ZD: My parents.

(500) Days of Summer is up for 3 MTV Movie Awards and voting is currently on to vote for the nominees. Zooey is in the category for Best Female Performance, Zooey & Joseph Gordon-Levitt for Best Kiss and the movie for Best Movie. Voting ends in 6 days, so vote to keep them nominated!

She & Him kicked off the New York Auto Show on Wednesday and Tran has uploaded the pictures to the gallery.

Indie darling Zooey Deschanel will be the face of Rimmel London’s new lash accelerating mascara, a perfecting powder foundation and a lasting lipstick. Her ads will debut in August 2010 worldwide. “I am honored to be working with Rimmel, a brand I love for its fresh, fun and innovative products,” Zooey says. “I am thrilled to be a part of defining the best of London style.”
